Android Friends

For some reason, I like the little Android dude. So, I did some variations on that theme. These are also the first icons I've posted that support Leopard's 512x512 icns size.

Macaroni Icon

I was surfing on MacUpdate, and saw a utility called Macaroni. I got inspired to do this icon. It has nothing to do with anything, but was just fun to make a macaroni icon.

Labels:

Caps Warn Icons

I saw an application on MacUpdate called Caps Warn. Here are a couple of replacement icons for it.

Labels:

Split & Concat Icon

Here's a replacement icon for an application called Split&Concat.

SlingPlayer Icons

Here are some replacement icons for Sling Media's SlingPlayer application.

Labels:

3D Rendered XTorrent Icon

This was just an experiment. I liked Jasper Hauser's icon for XTorrent. I wondered what it would look like if it was rendered in more of the 3D, iApps style. Not intended to be an improvement, just a different take on the idea.

Labels:

Jadite Coffee Cup

We have a bunch of dishes that look like this.

Labels:

Menger Sponge Icon

There was a post on Boing Boing about something called a menger sponge. That's a pretty easy one to model. This would be a level 3 sponge, in case you were interested.

Working for Palm now

I started working for Palm, doing user interface/visual design for Palm OS and Windows Mobile operating systems. Just for fun, here's a render of the logo, done in Cinema 4D and Photoshop.

Boba Fett Icons

Here are a few icons, based on Boba Fett's shoulder and chest armor emblems.

Labels:

Maxi Bidder Icon

I used to use a shareware application called Maxi Bidder. It had a really crappy icon, so I made this one.

Labels:

Another Transmission Icon

I did this icon a while back for Transmission, but then someone came up with a much better app icon that's in there now.

Labels:

Some Doctor Who Icons

I liked the TV show Doctor Who. Like, the old show. Tom Baker years. Yeah, I said it.

Labels:

Rich's Misc. Icons, Volumes 1 - 3

This is a combination of a bunch of random icons I did when Mac OS X was first released. There are about 50 icons here.

Labels:

Homestar Runner Icons

Homestar Runner is a strange and wonderful character/set of characters/web site. The site demonstrates to me all the things I could do with Macromedia Flash, if I wasn't so freaking lazy and uncreative. As usual, I needed some new icons for my hard drives, so I made these.

Labels:

Puzzle Icons

A small tribute to Erno Rubik and Uwe Meffert, Mac OS X Style!

Labels:

Gauge icons

I really don't know why I did these, but they took a while to make.

Labels:

Meiji Pucca icons

Some free advertising for Meiji. Pucca is a kind of candy/snack, and these pucca creatures are the mascots. For more information, see this site. 20 icons in this pack.

Labels:

Toxic Trash 2002 icons

About 10 years ago, I did some radioactive waste trash can icons. Recently, I wanted to see if I could do a decent reinterpretation for the "new millenium". You be the judge. No, wait, let me.

Labels:

Pinky Monkey icons

My wife wanted a new hard drive icon, so here ya go, honey. Pinky and Fresh Monkey are mascots for some Japanese candy or breath mint or something.

Labels:

eTarded icons

Some Mac OS "X" icons. Ha, ha. I'm surprised nobody thought of this one earlier, or maybe they did, or maybe it's because kids these days don't call it X anymore. If you don't get it, that's okay, neither do I. 13 icons in this pack.

Labels:

Sanrio Icons

Some free advertising for Sanrio. More than 30 icons! All of your favorite characters, plus a ton of the not-so-interesting ones. Of course as I write this, I'm looking at Sanrio's site, and there are about a million other characters I didn't do yet. Please don't make me do a Volume 2.

Labels:

Futurama icons

Here are some icons from a pretty underrated show. I didn't do icons for all the characters, just a few.

Labels:

Domo-kun icons

Domo-kun is this odd little Japanese character. I bought a Domo-kun stuffed doll in Japan during Summer 2001. Just so you know I made these icons back when Domo-kun was still cool. Click here if you want more information on Domo-kun.

Labels:

Dexter's Laboratory icons

What can I say? I like Dexter's Lab. Here's some derivative but effective enough hack work by me, taking more talented people's artwork and making it into icons for my (and hopefully your) own personal amusement. Actually this is a popular pastime, because it's easier than drawing one's own stuff.

Labels:

Celebrity Mug Shot icons

This set turned out pretty well. My friends kept suggesting celebrities, so I kept adding them. Gotta love that Nick Nolte photo.
